Rattanon Wannasrichan’s nickname is “Fluke” but there was certainly no element of luck in his nine-under-par 61 today at the SJM Macao Open.

The outstanding opening round gave him a two-stroke lead over Australian Sam Brazel, who returned a 63 – who like the Thai leader eagled the par-five 18^th.

Today, Mr. Luis Gomes, President of the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government; Mr. Grant Slack, EVP & Managing Director, Golf Events of IMG; Ms. Daisy Ho, Managing Director of SJM; Mr. David Rollo, Chief Operating Officer of the Asian Tour; and Mr. Johnny Senna Fernandes, President of the Golf Association of Macau, showed their support for the event by appearing at the golf course. 

France’s Celine Boutier finished with an impressive score of 19-under-par, securing her first title of the year at her maiden Aramco Team Series presented by PIF tournament at Mission Hills China.
