ON-FIRE RATTANON LEADS THAI DOMINANCE OF SJM MACAO OPEN
Thailand’s Rattanon Wannasrichan kept up his unrelenting pace at the SJM Macao Open today by adding a second-round four-under-par 66 to his opening 61 to keep the lead.
He’s 13-under for the US$1 million tournament and has a two-shot lead over fellow Thai Gunn Charoenkul, who fired a 64.
RATTANON RACES INTO LEAD AT SJM MACAO OPEN WITH SUPERB 61
Rattanon Wannasrichan’s nickname is “Fluke” but there was certainly no element of luck in his nine-under-par 61 today at the SJM Macao Open.
The outstanding opening round gave him a two-stroke lead over Australian Sam Brazel, who returned a 63 – who like the Thai leader eagled the par-five 18th.

The stage is set for an exciting week of golf as the top stars of the SJM Macao Open 2024 prepare to battle for the prestigious title at the Macau Golf & Country Club from 10 to 13 October 2024. With a strong field of contenders, this year’s tournament promises thrilling competition and world-class performances. Today, Mr. Luis Gomes, President of the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government; Mr. Grant Slack, EVP & Managing Director, Golf Events of IMG; Ms. Daisy Ho, Managing Director of SJM; Mr. David Rollo, Chief Operating Officer of the Asian Tour; and Mr. Johnny Senna Fernandes, President of the Golf Association of Macau, showed their support for the event by appearing at the golf course.
