Plover Cove Golf Club Rings in 2026 with Live Cam
Camera allows the public to watch history unfold in real time.
As 2026 begins and momentum builds toward a landmark opening in 2027, Plover Cove Golf Club (PCGC) has launched its project live camera, offering the public a real-time window into the creation of a defining new chapter in Hong Kong’s golfing landscape.
As Hong Kong’s first private golf course development in nearly 50 years, PCGC holds notable historical significance. The newly launched live cam system offers two viewing angles – one located adjacent to the 17th hole and one on the tee box between the 6th and 15th holes.
These perspectives will give viewers an unprecedented opportunity to watch the course take shape, offering a front-row seat at the progress of the landmark project.
Live Coverage of over 6,600-Yard Championship Golf Course Construction
Faced with the naturally rolling terrain of the site, the construction team adopted retaining wall technology to level the land and expand the playable area. The core works centre on installing a 6–8-metre-high retaining wall to support the creation of an 18-hole championship course measuring over 6,600 yards with a par of 71. The wall length has also increased from the originally planned 1.5 km to 1.8km.
As of early 2026, Phase One of construction is 80% complete, while Phase Two has reached 50% completion. A live feed positioned near the 17th hole, overlooking the retaining slope development and main driveway, now provides rare insight into one of the project’s most technically complex and visually striking stages.
Bird’s eye view of the Entire Construction
The second live cam is positioned between the tee boxes of holes 6 and 15, a location that integrates major engineering functions with natural strategic advantage. This area serves both as the project’s primary entrance and exit, as well as a vehicle washing station designed to reduce environmental impact.
As the highest elevation on the site, with a maximum height difference of 28 metres, the vantage point offers a complete view across the development’s largest platform. From here, viewers can observe daily environmental management procedures while also watching the fairway corridors take shape, following the land’s natural contours to form flowing, dynamic terrain.
Dean Nelson, General Manager of Plover Cove Golf Club, said: “As we enter 2026 - a pivotal year in our journey - this initiative opens a transparent and engaging window into the full construction process, inviting the public to witness a once-in-50-year private landmark project as it takes shape.”
“The progress presented goes far beyond the golf course, reflecting the transformation of the clubhouse from groundbreaking into a holistic, comprehensive destination designed for our future members. We’re excited to invite everyone to follow this journey as an iconic vision comes to life."
Beyond the development of the golf course, PCGC is set to deliver long-term value to the wider community. Once completed, the club will regularly host youth training programmes and showcase the results of landfill restoration and land revitalisation.
